Fill Your Bag
Your collection day is based on the first 3 characters of your Eircode (e.g., D12, D07, A94). Check the calendar for your area.
We Collect Your Bag
The night before your collection, you’ll receive a text and an email reminder. On collection day, you’ll get another text when we’re 30 minutes away.
Collection Calendar
We collect once a month. Find your Eircode routing key (first 3 characters, e.g. D12) on the calendar below to see your collection date. You can also view the calendar on glassbag.ie.

Do I have to sign or opt into a contract?
No there is no contract commitment required. You simply sign up to the service and your can use it for as long or as short as you like. You can cancel your service with us anytime you want no questions asked.
How often is my Glass Bottle Bag collected?
We collect once a month in every area we cover. We service Dublin, North Wicklow, North Kildare and South Meath. Check the collection calendar for your Eircode area, or email us at info@glassbag.ie if you’re unsure.
If I do not want your service anymore, can I cancel?
You can cancel your service with us anytime you want no questions asked. You can even keep your bag in case you want to use the service again.
I need my Glass Bottle Bag collected now. What do I do?

What size Bag do you offer?
Our extra-large GlassBag holds up to 15kg of glass — roughly 60 beer bottles or 22 wine bottles. If you need more, additional bags are just €2/month.
When will my bag be collected?
Your bag will be collected monthly in accordance with our collection calendar. You can also view it on glassbag.ie.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Dublin (all areas and postcodes), North Wicklow (Bray, Greystones, Delgany), North Kildare (Maynooth, Celbridge, Leixlip) and South Meath (Ashbourne, Ratoath, Dunshaughlin, Dunboyne).
I wouldn't fill a bag in a month?
That’s no problem at all, you don’t have to fill the bag. Your Glass Bottle recycling bag will be collected every month.
Can I make payment over the phone?
We don’t offer telephone support. All payments can be made via our website. If you’re a current customer and have missed a payment, log in to your Account Dashboard to make an outstanding payment.
When I sign up, when do I receive my Glass Bottle Bag?
On your first collection, just use whatever container you have handy — a box, a carrier bag, anything. We’ll collect your glass and leave you with a free GlassBag for next month.
Do I really not have to go to the Bottle Bank anymore?
Nope! Just pop your glass bottles and jars in your GlassBag and we’ll look after the rest. All you need to do is leave the bag out on your collection day — we’ll text you the night before so you don’t forget.
What happens to the glass after you collect it?
The mixed glass we collect is transported to a recycling plant where it is sorted by colour, cleaned and crushed into cullet, then melted down and formed into new glass products. Glass can be recycled endlessly with no loss in quality.
About Us
GlassBottleBin.ie was born in 2018 out of a simple frustration — too many glass bottles piling up at home and not enough trips to the bottle bank. The idea was straightforward: what if someone just came and collected your glass from your door?
What started as a local glass bottle collection service in Dublin quickly grew, helping hundreds of households skip the bottle bank entirely.
In August 2024, GlassBottleBin joined the GlassBag.ie family, run by Mark and David under Glass Bag Recycling Ltd. GlassBag now operates doorstep glass recycling collections across Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare and Meath, helping thousands of households recycle their glass responsibly.
